Parliant Announces End of Life for PhoneValet, to focus on iOS Development
OTTAWA, ON (June 20, 2011) After over 60 software releases and almost 9 years, Parliant announces the end of line for its Mac telephony product line, including PhoneValet Message Center and PhoneHerald.
"We want to thank the thousands of Mac users out there who have been using our telephony products for their support over the years," said Parliant President and CEO Kevin Ford. "We are so proud to have created the premiere telephony product suite and given Mac users the ability to get so much more out of their phones."
Due to supply constraints, it is no longer possible for Parliant to produce the Telephone Adapter hardware required for its line of phone products. After six major versions of PhoneValet plus industry-specific PhoneHerald and CurbTalker products, Parliant has decided to focus the company around its growing iOS software development business, including consulting iOS programming for "Fortune 500" companies as well as the Conference Companion line of paperless conference applications for iPhone and iPod touch devices.
"After starting our company with a Windows product, we were so happy to be able to focus our company on Mac products almost nine years ago," said Ford. "The community of Mac users is just amazing, and we have been privileged to serve them with our products. While we are continuing our business primarily on an Apple platform, we will miss developing software on the Mac. Keep an eye out though, we may come back with new products on the Mac in the future!"
Parliant will make good on its commitment to its customers by continuing to provide technical support and warranty service for all customers for the duration of their products' warranties. Parliant's product web sites will continue to provide a comprehensive set of support resources. email support will continue to be available until June 2012.
